frustration amongst bliss

it's been a long journey from the time i left asia to the time i settled into my new life in the northwest. after our country enduring eight years of bush, a new time in america has begun. and it has begun with barack obama.

i remember being criticized be friends and sometimes the people closest to me for being an obama supporter. it's not just because he's young, biracial, or handsome. it has to do with the fact that he is a visionary of the next generation. he belives in solidarity amongst americans. but still supports the preservation of history and cutlture of what makes this nation great.

president-elect obama is no more white than he is black; no more black than he is white. but he is 100% american. a man who came from the most unlikely background. a man who is part of the classifed "other." a man who is our president starting in january '09.

the next four years will undoubtedly be intersting. will he succeed? will he fail? will our nation waver? of course it will. but the hope he's restored to this country and to its people is a base strong enough to eject america back into a respectable national and international respectable reputation.

president-elect obama, thank you!
